I am another job loss statistic and now credit card debt is quickly bankrupting me

July 6th, 2009

My everyday living has spiraled virtually out of control all due to horrible money problems.  For me it began when I got fired from my job this was something that I truthfully didn’t foresee this happening and it did.  Needless to say losing income isn’t good for any of us but I haven’t yet rebounded and found another job at this point.  This right away made me realize just how far gone another financial problem I had is.  This problem is credit card debt.  My debt bills are pretty steep and with no money coming in I cannot pay them and will obviously begin to fall behind on the monthly payments.

I have been searching for a debt solution that will assist me while I am still trying to find new employment.  My financial experts have been preaching that credit card debt settlement is a good plan that will be for someone in my sort of predicament.  The goal of this process is for the debtor to save income and quickly get out of debt.  This seems precisely like what I need to be doing.

It appears like debt settlement is really the only workable road for us because a bankruptcy would require me selling my home and a consumer credit counseling plan is something I can’t afford.  I have talked about this program with my partner and she thinks that debt settlement would be a good course of action for us too.  Once we get rid of credit card debt then we insist on becoming a lot more responsible with our spending habits and never get sucked in this horrid trap ever again.
