A Hawaiian Vacation: Considerations for Planning a Great Trip!

General August 4th, 2009

There is so much to consider when planning a Hawaii vacation. Hawaii is a beautiful series of islands, each unique. You will find vast waterfalls, beautiful beaches, tall mountains, plants and flowers of all colors and varieties, and unique wildlife. No matter what interests you, Hawaii has something to offer. From adventure tours to beach relaxing and surfing to mountain hiking, planning your vacation will take some thought.

Staying at a resort is one of the more popular options. Many resorts offer packages which include your hotel stay, meals, drinks, and activities. Certain resorts also have amenities such as a kids club for children, a salon and spa, shopping, and an activities desk to arrange tours and adventures. Ask your friends for resort recommendations, or check with a travel agent for suggestions. Many resorts have great sales and promotions too.

Make sure you travel to other islands while in Hawaii. Kauai is particularly popular as a vacation spot, and offers great package deals. Maui is the second-largest Hawaiian island, and a favorite destination for many visitors. If you’re a history buff you’ll want to take in Pearl Harbor while on Oahu. If you prefer geology, you’ll want to see Mauna Kea, an extraordinarily active volcano on the Big Island.

A Hawaii cruise is another wonderful choice. Actually enjoying yourself on the ocean is far superior to an ocean-front hotel. A cruise around the islands lets you see all the islands, as well as exploring a variety or different ports and seeing what each island has to offer. When you are on the cruise ship there are plenty of fun activities and fine dining. Venture off the ship during port calls for hiking, biking, and an authentic taste of Hawaiian food. Theme cruises are available, such as family cruises with kid-friendly activities, or couples cruises with romantic activities and ambience.

Wherever you decide for your Hawaii vacation package, and whatever you decide to do, it will be an experience that you’ll never forget. The locals are full of good advice on things you can do for your trip. Take lots of picture and sunblock, and enjoy yourself. Jacqueline Gold’s Marbella Costa

General August 4th, 2009

I’ve been recently reading the autobiography by Jacqueline Gold, the CEO of Ann Summers stores who has had a roller coaster of a personal life and specifically can relate to various aspects of her life’s struggle as well as constant enthusiasm for living and never giving up.

I specifically recall from within the autobiography Jacqueline’s attachment to marbella costa del sol as she writes many times about how her friends and Jacqueline make an annual pilgrimage to marbella costa del sol for her girlie week in the sun. They book into a good hotel as a gang of them and do all the girlie stuff for a week and let their hair down, clearly also shopping is part of the trip too.

She mentions about a couple of times where when she’s down, Marbella is a good place to get away to and recover your energy and zest for life. Getting away to a different location always enables a fresh view of things to form as well as give new focus to emerse yourself in. Of course – for sun worshippers the thrill of chilling and tanning is always a pick me up.

This is where the story of Jacqueline particularly seem’s apt for me at the moment as I am looking for new adventures in life, to immerse oneself in solving worldly issuses or participate in a good cause where it puts our own life in perspective and how we can get the most out of our precious time on earh.

Anyhow, I digress…. here I am thinking about Jacqueline Gold and how she faces tragedy or setbacks in life and always has Marbella !! and I’m thinking Marbella’s ok, I’ve enjoyed myself their a few times already and I’m also part of an expanding holiday business who handles a lot of reservations for Marbella holidays, but its not what is going to cheer me up at this point,,… where else is there within easy travelling of the UK and somewhere I can be fully involved in something useful and possibly even environmental? I glimpsed at Mijas along Costa Del Sol – but lets look away from Spain… How about the Canaries ? Nope – a little further I think, Marakesh…. no, …

Then it hit me, Cape Verde! I’ve been looking to possibly invest in somewhere upcoming like Cape Verde – and then, like a higher power was controlling my mouse – I clicked on a link in Google for “Boa Vista Experience” and then into their forum to read what the English folk were talking about and their was an announcement that The Turtle Foundation were looking for Volunteers to help protect female Loggerhead turtles who were being slaughtered by poachers as they were coming ashore to lay their eggs for future turtles to grace our oceans !!! Eurika ! that was the moment I knew that I’d found what I needed to gain a clear perspective and rejuvenate my enthusiasm :-)

Thankfully, my application as a volunteer to help The Turtle Foundation on Boavista was accepted, and I’m due to fly out for a whole new adventure and life experience for 7 weeks in Cape Verde on the 3rd August as the Turtle laying season just heats up and there’s reports coming in of masacred Turtles on some of Boavistas paradise beaches.. Check out my facebook updates in TURTLE FOUNDATION – Cabo Verde group page on Facebook and I’ll also be covering it in my main blog.

How to find a cell phone number

General August 4th, 2009

Is it really possible to run a free cell phone number lookup on the world wide web? Many people have been disappointed or discouraged in the past with programs that appear to offer free services online, but in truth are not. Is this the case for the cell phone reverse lookup?

First we will explain what we mean by a phone number search. If you have a home phone number but no idea who the number belongs to. You can use a reverse lookup site like Yahoo to learn the details. Of course in situations where you lost contact with someone but still have a record of their phone number, or just to check who owns the number. There are many places where you can make these business and residential phone inquiries on line queries for free, including toll-free numbers.

However, trouble arises when you need to do a reverse lookup on a cell phone as the free directories won’t list such phone numbers. So, if you’re searching an Oklahoma cell number you will have a problem. These listings do not contain cell phone numbers as this information is exclusively in the hands of carriers and telecommunications companies. Do these records exist & are they free?

The good news is that there are web sites that offer a large number of cell phone numbers, but they are not free. These websites of course have to pay a premium to access some of this information, and go to the trouble and cost of retrieving all resources into a single location and thus, you need to pay a small price for access to their database. However, the rate is typically a one-time purchase and you can run as many searches as you want. These records typically include cell owner details, address history, carrier information, and the phone type and connection status. It should also be noted that the databases offered by individual companies differ to some degree, but most include cell phones, residential, business, fax, toll-free and pagers. With these web sites your searches are guaranteed legal and confidential.

We’ve seen sites claiming to provide free cell research, but that has always led to websites charging a price in the end. Some do allow people to search for free and then see the results. The sad truth is that the only place where you will find detailed reverse cell records is within the legitimate paid directories. To conclude, cell phone searches are not free. However, if you really need to access this information, we think that it is a small price to pay.
