Fingers Crossed, We’ve Started

I do not believe I need to tell anybody this economy is troublesome and many folks have been having a verytough time. I lost my work about four months back when the company where I was working closed down 2 of their production lines and my bro in law, Barney got his final notice last month when his office announced that they were closing the doors forever.
Both of us had spent a fair period of time and energyattempting to find new roles but with no luck. However, we were clear on the fact that we still required revenue to pay our bills and support our families so Barney and i decided to go into business on our own.
We had no clear concept on what this operation would be as my only real skill and experience was in producing washing machines and Barney had worked as a QC inspector at a candy factory. However, my young neighbor convinced us that rap music, rappers and that hip hop lifestyle was the latest expansion trend in our country today. Now I must admit that both Barney and I agree the entire’rapper scene’ is just plain dumb but if it makes cash then who are we to argue.
Somehow we decided to go after the jewellery segment of the hip hop market with the plan that we could start off rather small and just offer our merchandise for sale at flea markets till we could afford to open a regular store. So, our next task was to find a wholesale bling bling watches outlet.
We quickly discovered we had a serious problem in that we were a new business with no track record and no credit report which suggested that no-one would sell us any inventory except for cash. They were all extraordinarily respectful to reassure us that credit purchases would be possible after we were established but it was all going to be COD at the beginning. We started scrambling then to find cash loans.
Well, we eventually got our money together. Not particularly as much as we wanted but enough to at least buy some starter inventory and get the project rolling and we had also found some promising wholesale outlets that we believed we could deal comfortably with. However, none of these wholesale sellers was in out city so we were going to require to travel which meant making airline and hotel reservations.
Getting the airline reservations was very easy and most of the hotels now subscribe to hotel GDS that made dealing with them also pretty simple.
